Hailing from Gilbert in the great state of Arizona, this quintet released their debut album This December, It’s One More and I’m Free in September of 2005. During the 3 year span between then and now, a certain buzz seemed to grow throughout the online music community concerning what this group was capable of doing. After various changes to their line-up and struggles with finding the right record label, the band has returned this spring with the follow-up to their highly praised debut effort.

On March 18th, they released Illuminate via indie rock label Linc Star Records and, once again, the buzz has begun. Talked about for weeks before its release, Illuminate was greeted with great praise from both those who have loved Lydia in the past and those who were just experiencing their sound for the first time. Coming in at 43 minutes in length, this 11 track ballad thrives on haunting melodies and overlapping harmonies; while delivering a soothing indie rock experience that echoes in such a unique fashion, it would be hard to find another band to compare them to in all facets. The dual vocals of front-man Leighton Antelman and leading lady Mindy White (fanboy alert - she’s cute AND a nerd) drive the heart and soul of this band while a full sound, led by crushing piano driven melodies, brings up the rear.
