Dude, Viva Pinata is LAM3Z0RS

Has anyone else noticed that playing games online has all of a sudden thrown us all back into Middle School? And not the cool parts of middle school, but like the horrible emotionally scarring parts (aren’t you curious about my middle school experience now?). But sewiously. Where else can you be belittled by a 13 year old?
But that aspect is actually a whole ‘nother post! This time I’m gonna talk about P33r Pressure. Have you ever noticed how much of it goes on in the online gaming community? Aside from which console is better, you’d better hope that you’re not online while you’re playing your Avatar: The Last Airbender game or Hannah Montana. Actually… if you’re playing Hannah Montana, and you’re also reading this post, I would probably make fun of you. A lot.
So once upon a time, I was buying some games (see post below) and I saw that Viva Pinata was on sale! I remembered the game getting good reviews, so I was like: “Hey, 20 bucks, why not?” And actually, I liked the game a lot. It was fun to play, and isn’t that what games are about? Not when your friends are playing Halo 3! You see, the problem is on xbox live, it shows your friends not only what game you are playing, but exactly what you are doing! So, while my all my friends status for Halo 3 is like: “Kicking alien ass in Halo 3″ mine was like: “Playing with Pinatas and generally being homosexual in Viva Pinata.” This of course, induces message spam from your friends saying how lame you are, and how you should start playing a real game, and how they saved 10% by switching to Geico.
Yeah, yeah, I know you can turn it off, but why? Why should I have to hide what I’m playing from my friends? It’s not like you’re hiding pornography from your parents here… besides, did you know that even if you set your status to “away” or whatever, it still tells your friends what you’re doing online? I think you should just be able to customize your status. Like this:

I might have been one of those “friends” who called you lamesauce. … then I ended up playing Viva Pinata three months later, and now I actually think it’s a decent game. Yea - my bad.

Ok, ok…. I downloaded the demo and tried it out. Still lam3z0rs, but only ’cause you can’t shoot anyone…
