I remember back in the day when groups of games that were packaged together were called “Battle Chests” or “collections.” Apparently the new hot term for a compilation is a “_____ box.” Like Valve’s Orange Box, Maxis is releasing a SimCity box which will contain a compilation of the SimCity games. Interestingly, it will include the creature-creator for the upcoming Spore. Considering the fanatical level of hype surrounding this game, I wouldn’t be surprised if that alone sells the SimCity box.

SimCity Box is due out in June for $40 and will include SimCity Societies, SimCity Societies Destinations, SimCity 4, SimCity 4 Rush Hour and The Sims Carnival SnapCity.
