Online Recording Studio

The Hobnox AudioTool is a 100% free online recording solution. Using javascript, you can write electronic music using some real pro and industry standard sounds (such as the Roland 808 drum machine). It’s actually pretty neat. It uses a graphic interface to physically represent the actual devices you might be using. Then you click and drag cables to and from in the inputs and outputs of the various devices just like you would do if you were composing using these devices in real life.

I’m not sure how you export your beats yet, but it’s still a “demo.” I should also point out that it’s a lot of fun to just mess around with this thing, but it does take a little bit of technical knowhow to get things going. It’s not one of those extremely intuitive (albeit extremely limited) online “music makers.” If you have any interest in electronic music though, you owe it to yourself to at least check it out and play around.

    Hey -

Thanks for picking up the Audiotool! We’re all really excited about the progress of our beta and are currently working on additional functionality (including an option to save your compositions).

Thought this might interest you as well, it’s one of our devs playing around with the Audiotool with a Midi keyboard:
