Ugh, what an absolutely ridiculous name. Their performance of the Star Spangled Banner is no joke though. 5 little girls aged 6 through 9 sing the star spangled banner at a sporting event a capella (note, actually, I’m unclear about their age. Youtube reports 6 through 9, their website reports the oldest at 13). Their harmonies are impeccable. Absolutely ridiculous.

The acoustics in gymnasiums are pretty piss-poor so it’s extremely hard to sound good, and they sound freakin’ amazing. I guess they’re cute, but c’mon… better name please! There seems to be quite a bit of buzz about them on the interweb though. Apparently they all were vocal students of a person named Cami Cadwell who took the best singers I guess, and turned them into an all-girl singing group. They seem to be limiting themselves to this national anthem bit for now, but with all this hype that’s growing I’m sure they’ll expand their horizons soon (apparently they’re releasing a children’s book… about the National Anthem of course!)
